Luthando Jezz Tibini’s Biography
Born and raised by his aunt in Nyanga East up until the age of six, Glenfiddich’s National Brand Ambassador, Luthando “Jezz” Tibini, has connected with people since he was a little boy. Assisting his father in the family’s fishery from a young age and having moved around from section to section within Gugulethu, Jezz built up valuable life experiences, which now compliment his current role as a National Brand Ambassador for the world’s most awarded Scotch whisky, Glenfiddich.
After High School Jezz obtained his degree in Quantity Surveying at Pentech and had the opportunity to work for large construction companies across South Africa. Tired of a nine to five office job, sitting behind a desk and “counting bricks”, Jezz decided to explore his passion in marketing and left the construction industry, finding his way into the Glenfiddich Team just over 3 years ago.
One of the things he enjoys about his position is travelling, networking and being exposed to people who are influential. One of his career highlights as part of the Glenfiddich team was meeting Thulani Majola, owner of LTE Consulting, when they enjoyed the rare Glenfiddich 50 Year Old Single Malt together.
When not working Jezz finds joy in spending time with his three children namely, Thandekile (4), Thandile (6) and Thabile (10). Apart from being part of the Glenfiddich Team, Jezz is a very talented DJ who enjoys playing soulful house music. His love for music is not only behind the decks, but he also enjoys playing the piano.
Jezz credits his parents as his inspiration for the values they have embedded in him as a child. He describes himself as a genuine guy who respects people without being biased.
He defines success as a feeling of happiness that one gets after achieving a goal or an obstacle in life, whether it’s passing a grade or pulling off an event that people can’t stop talking about.
