Popular Scotch whisky brand, Scottish Leader, recently hosted an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime #LeaderintheSky whisky tasting experience in the Johannesburg sky.
The culmination of its national #NewPerspective campaign that ran from 1 August to 30 September, the event was staged to reward and celebrate the winners of the promotional drive that sought to create awareness of Scottish Leader’s blended Scotch whiskies, including Original and Signature, and its message of the rich possibilities achieved through taking a new perspective.
Guests were securely lifted 50 meters into the sky by crane for a very special tasting of Scottish Leader Signature, as well as its soon to be launched luxuriously rich and silky 12-year-old flagship blend, a best-seller in Taiwan. The whiskies were matched with a selection of tasty canapés prepared by the talented chefs of Culture Kitchen Food Club, with South Africa’s ‘Mr Whisky’, Pierre Meintjes, leading the tasting.
The experience was also attended by ‘Famestagrammers’ Ofentse Mwase (@unclescrooch) and Levon Lock (@levonlock), who formed an integral part of the Scottish Leader’s digital campaign over the promotional period.
The night concluded with a very special private performance by musician and producer Tresor. His VII album won the 2016 South African Music Awards (SAMA) title for best pop album.
Weza Matomane (aka ‘Weza That Guy’) was the MC for the evening.
